  • 7 Tips to Organise Your Outgrown Kids Designer Clothes

    Kids Designer Clothes

Raise your hand if you are guilty of holding onto outgrown kids designer clothes!
Although they can be a lovely reminder of how tiny your children used to be, hanging on to lots of outgrown clothes is simply not practical. Follow these tips to help you organise and put the clothing to good use and make way for some new kids designer wear.

Get your kids designer clothes at the ready..

    1. 1. Getting Prepared

Before you begin sorting, find three boxes ready to put the organised clothes into.

     2. Pick Out Your Favourite Must-Keeps

There are a few clothes that are simply impossible to part with, either because they hold particularly special memories or because you want to save them for future children and grandchildren. Put these aside in the first box.

    3. Tackle the Stains

The clothes will be no use to anyone if they are dirty or stained, so make sure you deal with this before passing them on to a friend or donating to charity. Any that are beyond repair should be disposed of or used for cleaning.

     4. Organise Them by Size, Gender and Season

Sorting the clothes into different age groups, suitability for either boys or girls and whether they are summer or winter wear will make it much easier to distribute them to the right people.

     5. Consider Consignment

Consigning or re-selling outgrown baby clothes can be a good way to make some extra money, so put good-quality hand-me-downs into the second box. Make sure that you only consign clothes in good condition, making any necessary repairs before contacting your local consignment shop. They may be able to take some or all of your clothes, depending on which items they are currently seeking. Most consignment shops offer either cash or store credit.

     6. Donate the Rest

The last box is for items to donate to your local charity shops or to friends and family. These should still be in reasonable condition, as donating unwearable clothing will just mean somebody else has to sort through your outgrown baby clothes.

     7. And Repeat

Having a regular seasonal clear-out will make it much easier to identify which clothes your children have outgrown and make this a simpler and quicker task.

Isn't it time you had a clear out of those outgrown kids designer clothes?
